Founded in May 2018 in New York City by Patrick Cines, BA&A was launched out of the need for a casual networking venue for ad ops and ad tech industry professionals. Surprisingly, in a city that’s considered an epicenter of the the publishing, technology, and ad agency industries there wasn’t one. Instead, there were numerous sponsored talks, panels, and sales pitches disguised as networking events every month.
BA&A’s goal is to clear the air and provide a local venue for unobstructed industry networking where attendees don’t have to sit through a presentation just to expand one’s personal network. We’re 100% member funded and never allow any vendor sponsors at our events. Our monthly mixers are always free, attendees pay for their own drinks if they want them, but we provide the space, name tags, markers, and most importantly - the community. It’s networking in its purest form.
Today, BA&A is one of the largest and most engaged ad tech industry networking groups globally. With over a 1500 members, active communities in New York City, San Francisco, and Chicago, as well as soon to be launched groups in Los Angeles, London, and Dublin, BA&A’s vision is to not only connect local ad ops and ad tech professionals, but to also bring the broader global community together.
